Until and unless we create the design that appears suitable for the viewers we can’t claim our creation to be successful. But this may not be beneficial for the utility of the users and they may get bemused with the over usage or indulgence of designing elements. 2. Keep it simple and tidy

However, having a strong focus on two or three colours and using neutral colours like white, grey and black can help in deciding a perfect shade for your site. These colours should be chosen one for the background, and other two for link buttons, header and other design elements. Usage of colour text or strong coloured background like striking red or yellow should be avoided by any means. However, the colour of hyperlink text should be blue.

Images are an integral part of a website. Images help in communicating the right message or information across the readers in a more appealing and real way. Also the web designer should be careful about the image file size so that it loads seamlessly and the webpage appears instantly. If in case it is absolutely necessary to use an image for the background, then the text can be put on a separate box over the image background coloured with light transparency.
6. Text and fonts
Selecting a perfect font style and size for your website is the most important part of your web designing work. Most of the part of your content used in your website should consist of texts, so maintaining a smooth flow of it becomes very essential. Try to use simple font style rather than those that looks too decorative and heavy on eyes. Using more white space and creating a visual hierarchy using different weights and sizes of the typefaces can help to build a smooth flow of content.
7. Usage of links in your webpage
Placing proper links at proper place in the webpage is considered to be an essential part. Also you must test the links to check if they are working properly. Often many important links included within a piece of content in a website are found to be useless and not opening at all. Hence, before uploading the page, the web designer should check if all the links are functioning properly and must remove the dead links that are not required anymore in the webpage. Also avoid using unnecessary links that redirects to other sites.
